Alfred smirked smartly, taking Arthur's hand and pulling him off the bed. He didn't let go or stop though and just kept walking, not bothering with the fact both of their clothes were wrinkled now that they slept in them and their hair was a mess.
"Where…where are you taking me, Git? Let me go." Arthur grumbled, but his threats were empty as he wiped away another tear. How embarrassing. He was sure this idiot would find a way to make fun of him for it too.
Alfred laughed, "Calm down, dude. We're just going to breakfast! I have to build up our energy for the meeting today!"
Arthur flinched. He had completely forgotten another world meeting was being held again today like yesterday. Both of which were set in the northern part of London.
Alfred laughed, this grasping the older nation's hand tightly and pushed some shoes on his feet before motioning England to do the same.
"What! You expect me to go out in public like this?" Arthur gasped, looking at the two of them in a mirror that was nearby. "We have readied ourselves!"
Alfred just stared at him as if annoyed and forced the man to sit in a chair. Grabbing two leather shoes, he stepped back over to Arthur, got on his knees and began forcing the shoes on him with laughter. Arthur fought back, of course, but his legs were just chained back into place by the strengthen of the American and eventually he had his two shoes on.
"Blast it, America! Let me go!" His hand was being held again and they were out the door in a matter of seconds.
"Oh come on, Iggy! It'll totally be like a date!" Alfred exclaimed, walking the flustered man down the street. "You want to go on a date with me, right? We can't date if we don't go on dates!"
"Stop that! Who said we were dating!" Arthur snapped back, blush smothering his face once again.
Alfred didn't let this comment go though and stopped walking. Suddenly, he turned and faced the Brit with a large smirk on his tan face. "You did, when you admitted you loved me." He said softly, quickly leaning in and stealing another strong kiss from the Brit. Refusing to pull away until he felt Arthur's shocked face relax against his lips and finally fall into the kiss as well.
Alfred pulled away and started trudging off again so quickly Arthur had no idea what he happened. He just let himself be pulled along, no longer really caring about his appearance, only the feelings swirling inside him.
Alfred began chatting on about one of his heroic stories again, still slinking through the streets, hand in hand with the Brit. But Arthur was only half listening until they he heard a little ring of a bell as they made their way into a McDonald's.
"Go find a table, Iggy. I'll get our food, so don't worry." Alfred chimed, letting go and walking over to the counter with an open wallet.
Arthur wasn't much of a McDonald's person but he didn't argue. He just went and found the cleanest looking booth they had and sat down. Alfred came back to him a few minutes later with a tray of food.
"Here ya go, Iggy." He said brightly, his usual childish grin plastered on his face. He set a bag of food and a large sweet tea in front of him before he sat down himself.
England ignored how America grabbed his food as soon as he sat down, pulling out it's content on the table in obvious hunger. He always was a bear with his food. So, Arthur just peeked inside his own bag to see what he had received. Well, at least it wasn't a burger, he could see.
The American was done far quicker than Arthur was, but what was really too new? So, as Arthur kept eating, Alfred picked up where he left of before they got here in his stories.
Exactly how long they stayed there and talked is hard to say. A few hours, Arthur was guessing, but suddenly, in the middle of their conversation, he remembered something.
"Oh, Alfred. The meeting starts at 10:00, right?" He asked, looking around for a clock on the wall.
"Yeah, why? I'm sure we have plenty of time, hold on." Alfred pushed himself up, stiff from sitting there for so long, and went back to the counter. Upon coming back, he grinned. "See? Plenty of time! The cashier says its 9:50!"
Arthur jumped up. "You idiot! We only have ten minutes to get there!"
"What's the big deal? We're in London, it's in London. We can make it, right?"
"Late!" Arthur complained to himself before addressing Alfred once more. "But it'll take thirty, maybe twenty minutes if traffic is good and we run! Come on!" He grabbed the American's hand again and pulled him out of the eatery. He wondered if the other countries would notice they were gone. Oh, who was he trying to fool? Of course they would!
"Geez, Iggy, you sure are slow." Alfred complained, easily running up beside the rushing Brit.
"Excuse me! I am quite fast! Thank you!"
"Pssh, sure old man, let me show you fast!" America laughed grabbing Arthur by the waist and throwing him over his shoulder despite the obvious complaints. "America, the hero, is saving the day once again!!"
~~~~ At the Meeting ~~~~
"Alright, the only people missing are America and England." Germany announced to the gathered countries, having taken attendance for the third time. "Really, to be late to a world meeting in his own city…" He muttered.
Then, a loud patting echoed through the halls and into the large room where only the other countries were murmuring about the two missing.
"Never fear! America and England are here!" America chimed rhythmically, striking a heroic pose but still England was tossed over his shoulder.
"Put me down you idiot! Alight you're faster! Just put me down!" Arthur yelled, squirming in the American's grasp.
France laughed and had a grin planted across his face, his eyes watching the two bust in suddenly with a pleased expression. Everyone watched them as they walked to their seats at the table, which happened to be next to each other.
"And where have to two of you been? You're almost thirty minutes late. Have you been on a nice, romantic date together, hmm?" France rang slyly.
Alfred looked over at him as the room grew silent. "How did you know? Dude, that's weird, were you watching us?"
Arthur froze, blushing brightly as America made no concern to pause his words. He didn't seem to find the fact that every eye was on the two of them now bothersome like he did.
"You…You really were…on a date?" France replied, obviously shocked himself at the reply.
"Well, like, yeah. So you weren't watching us? Oh." The American answered, finally figuring out he had been kidding. He stared around at all the shocked faces while England just looked down in embarrassment, trying also to hide his blush.
"You don't believe me?" Alfred asked but got no answer, just more stares. "Fine! But the hero never lies! You just watch and I'll prove it." Alfred grabbed the Brit beside him, taking a few moments to stare into those worried, self-conscious, but loving eyes of green before pushing their lips together.
Arthur heard a few gasps, and he might have been one of them, but right now he couldn't remember. All he could see, hear and focus on was the American that held him so close and affectionately. Nothing else and no one else mattered right now.
A USUK Valentine
Valentines Day, tch just the thought of it made him sick. 'It's a stupid holiday' thought Arthur Kirkland, he didn't even know why it was celebrated. It was only meant for couples, and what about the people who didn't have anyone huh? They don't get anything barely even a hello when walking down the street because everyone is too busy with there lovey dovey couple crap.
Disgusting
Arthur hated this stupid holiday for more than one reason, one: it was stupid in general to have a holiday all about love. Two: he never got anything anyway, and some people don't, so why torture them by pointing out the fact that they didn't have anyone? And Thre
America's POV
My footsteps hit the bare floor hard with every step, creating a pounding rhythm with my heart. I flew around the corner and just ran, my fear growing with every thud. Was that really...?
I turned another corner. I had lost count of how many I had passed at this point. As soon as I looked down the hall, my rapid heartbeat stopped. I was right.
It was England.
He was curled up against a wall, sobbing hard. He must have overheard my conversation with France. It hurt to see him like that, as if he was going to just fall to pieces right there. I walked up to him and cupped his face in my hands, staring straight into his dull gre
Arthur had long gotten used to Alfred coming over and pleading him to watch scary movies at any time of the day. So it was no surprise to him when, late one afternoon, he answered his doorbell to find the American standing there, looking half sheepish and half freaked out, holding a DVD in his hands.
"Hey there, Iggy!" he said in a forced cheerful voice. "What'cha doing?"
Arthur rolled his eyes, looking at the DVD cover. The Exorcist. Just the kind of movie to send Alfred scurrying over here so he didn't have to watch it alone.
"I was getting some embroidery done.... but I assume you want me to watch another 'scary' movie with you, Al
