Romano groaned, his sleep being interrupted by a load, rude knocking on his door. "Stupid grandpa…it's too early…" He muttered before hearing a Spanish accent on the other side of the wooden barrier. His hazel eyes snapped open violently, jerking upward and staring around the tomato painted room. Oh yeah…he wasn't in Italy with Grandpa Rome anymore…

"Oi! Lovino! Lovino, mi amour!" The Spanish accent continued, and Romano growled in hatred. He stood up, only in his red boxers, and didn't reply to Antonio. Rubbing the back of his head tiredly, he looked around before heading towards his closet to find some clothes for his first full day here at the academy.

He heard a quiet clicking noise, but ignored it. His shirts and pants were hung on hangers and his underwear was folded neatly into the draws that were on the left and right side of the closet. Somebody was supposed to be bringing him his dress pants and uniform jacket today, so so far this was all he had ready.

Pulling out a white dress shirt, he turned around only to feel a hot sensation run over his body. Confused, he was too startled to move as the warm blooded Spaniard wrapped him close in a deep hug.

"Wh-What are you doing in my room, dammit! How'd you get in here!"

Antonio laughed, pulling away from the half-naked boy, not even seeming to notice the lack of clothes, but kept his hands on his tan shoulders. "I have a key, remember? I thought you were sleeping still when you didn't open the door when I knocked and it is my job to wake you up and guild you everywhere, just like I said, so I came in!"

"Well, get out!" The blush fuming bright on his cheeks.

"Okay, okay! I'm sorry! But we gotta go to breakfast soon." Antonio whined,  "Oh yeah, here you go." He set a blue bag on Lovino's bed and stepped away. "Say, if these in this bag are your uniform…what are you wearing now…" He asked innocently, looking over the Italian for the first time today, only then realizing he stood only in his boxers. The Spaniard blushed and looked away, only to gland back up again.

"Nothing! That's why I said get out!" Romano yelled, shooing the man out of his room, blushing brightly still. He stepped over to the bag and pulled out one of the jackets and pair of pants before starting to get dressed.

Antonio's own tan face was a light pink now. Yes, the boy was cute, but he wouldn't have guessed want an incredible body he had! The Italian was actually quite fit and even more pleasing to look at than Antonio originally thought. But, he shook his head. He shouldn't think that way. Judging by Romano's reaction at dinner yesterday he wasn't into that kind of thing…

He leaned sadly against the wall, wondering how he could get to now the younger man better without having to worry about his little crush growing deeper. He didn't want to be embarrassed or rejected, he really wanted to be friends, and didn't want to ruin that.

"Alright, Spanish Bastard, I'm ready." Antonio heard from inside the room and looked up to see Lovino step out of his room. Teeth and hair freshly brushed and dressed in uniform and backpack filled with books and such in his hand.

He smiled brightly at the younger man, his dour attitude moments before disappearing completely. "Let's get going!" He grabbed Romano's hand in his own and started skipping off towards the elevator.

A few minutes later, Spain had led Romano back into the mess hall, many people already sitting down and eating, including the guys from yesterday (oddly, all of them in the exact spots they were last night) and Feliciano and that stupid German, Ludwig. Though Gilbert was beside the Russian again, the seat beside Feliciano was open, so Romano supposed they'd saved it for him and the one on his other side for Antonio.

And that was the case. After getting their food, the two men stepped up to the table and was invited immediately by the joyful America to sit down and they were afraid someone would try and come and take their seats. They did, Romano without saying a word, though Antonio went straight to thanking them all for saving them seat before going into a casual conversation.

After a while, they all got up. Romano watched as Alfred wrapped his hand around Arthur's waist instantly as they got up and they waved goodbye and headed towards their class.

"Yeah, I should show you where your class is now, Lovi! Where's your schedule?" Antonio smiled at him, waving as the others all said their goodbyes too.

"Ja. Feliciano, I should get you escorted as well. Can I see your list?" Ludwig asked, pushing in his chair after standing.

Both the older students took the papers and looked them over.

Ludwig and Feliciano left promptly and started off towards the freshman classes.

"Alrighty…Let's see, Lovi. You have…Science first!"

"Yeah, okay…" He seemed way too excited about school and science for Romano's wellbeing. So, he didn't say anything, just took back his list, and followed the Spaniard out of the cafeteria.

"I'll be waiting for you when you get out escorting you to your second class too, like I said."

"I know! Shut up, stop repeating yourself dammit." Lovino mumbled beside Antonio.

From the moment Romano saw Antonio, he knew there was something different. He knew he could see something strange in the Spanish man, something not normal. But, he never expected something like this…he never expected the whole school to be different! He never expected the word "gifted" in the school's name would mean something this incredibly unbelievable!

"What's wrong, Lovi?" Antonio asked curiously, walking the boy into the junior classroom.

"Wh-What the hell! What is this!" Lovino screeched, back away from the room in panic. His hazel eyes stared in disbelief at the flying books, and moving skeletons on hooks. The teacher was telling students to calm down while the chalk wrote on the black board all by itself and the students seemed unfazed by this obscure trickery! "H-How are you doing all that, bastard! That's not a funny trick! Stop it!"

"L-Lovi, calm down!" Antonio was startled. Hadn't he known what to expect in coming to this school? Surely he had to have some idea, only certain people with unique abilities get chosen to be asked to come. "It's not a trick! Calm down! It's magic, and this is Mrs. Beetles, the freshman science teacher and magic arts teacher for all grades. You know, potions, spells, wands, all that?"

"Magic isn't real, dammit! Stop lying to me! Stop it!"

"I'm not lying! I would never, mi amour!" Antonio hurt by the accusation, but put it aside. The boy seemed utterly terrified. The Spaniard put him hands on the Italian's tense shoulders like this morning, easing him by getting him to breath slower and calmer.

"Wh-What's going on in there!"

"Magic! I told you that! Mrs. Beetle's magic, that's all."

"Magic isn't rea-"

"It is! It is, mi amour! I thought you knew all this? How did you get invited to this school without any special powers or use of magic?"

"What? S-special powers? What do you mean?"

Antonio stopped, staring at him, searching for anything that would tell him this boy he held onto was just kidding with him and knew all about powers and magic. But he found none.

The Spaniard sighed softly, letting the boy go. "Like this…" Antonio stared seriously at Lovino before taking his hand in his. Holding Lovino's hand pressed between both of his own, Antonio stared at the intertwined hands as they began to glow.

Romano became cautious and afraid, but Antonio refused to let him run away and kept his calm grip on him.

"I will not hurt you, Lovi. Just watch. Please."

The Italian shivered but stopped protesting and stared at the hands as Antonio did. He flinched, his eyes widening in awe as a curly vine made its way up his arm, twirling around it innocently with bright, tiny flowers blooming from it and lively leaves.

"And Arthur, he is the school best student magic user." Romano heard Antonio saw after a long while and when he pulled away, the roots of the flowery vines was in the palm of his hand after Antonio pulled his own away. "You see? Not a trick, just a special power. I also have oddly great strength, though Alfred is by far the strongest physically in the entire school." He smiled openly at the amazed boy who was turning his arm around to stare at the vines that wrapped around him.

Suddenly, they both heard a cough and looked into the classroom where it suddenly looked normal and everyone was staring at them.

"Oh, yes. This is Lovino Vargas, the new student." Antonio introduced, happily. "Lovi, this is Mrs. Beetles."

"Yes, it' a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Vargas. But, how can you work when Mr. Carriedo has put that on your arm, now?"

"Oh! Sorry Mrs. B!" Antonito laughed casually and stroked the plant gently, watching it unwind and Mrs. Beetles came over with a vase in her wrinkly, pale hands that had a stick poking out of it. "Here, for now, this will do."

Antonio nodded and had the vine wrap around the stick in the vase instead of Romano and said his goodbyes, leaving a confused and stunned Romano, to fend for himself in this odd classroom.
What's this!? A FANTASY school!? Oh yes.
